ID'd WWII USN Mark I Knife Used On L.S.T. 960 / Okinawa

WWII U.S. Navy Mark I knife made by Colonial. The hard rubber handle is in very good condition with no breaks, the pommel stamped "960". The blade is smooth and grey with traces of bluing and sharpening. The leather scabbard is stamped on the face "K. L. Campbell P H M. 2 C. 3510564", the reverse "L.S.T. 960".
LST-960 was laid down on 11 October 1944, at Hingham, Massachusetts, by the Bethlehem-Hingham Shipyard; launched on 8 November 1944; and commissioned on 2 December 1944, with Lieutenant Harold A. Jamieson, USN, in command.
During World War II, LST-960 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the assault and occupation of Okinawa in April and May 1945.
