Named WWII U.S. Navy Officer Visor Cap
click for an even bigger image

A very clean example of the World War II blue wool Navy officer visor cap. The interior shows basket weave support construction with a size tag indicating 7 !/4. There is fine age crazing to the black leather visor, which is crossed by a nicely toned gold chin cord. The interior bears the mark of A Berkshire DeLuxe cap and the name tag of Lieutenant W.N. Patton. The officer's name is also embossed in gold on the sweatband. Very good used condition.
