89th Division 342nd Machine Gun Bn. Painted M17 Helmet

The exterior brown combat paint, which has a slightly textured composition, is nearly intact. On each side of the helmet is painted the insignia of the 342nd Machine Gun Battalion of the 89th Infantry Division. Both of the insignia are intact. The interior liner remains in the helmet and the chin strap is present. A manufacturer code is impressed into the interior rim. Overall excellent, field used, condition.
