USAAF M41 Field Jacket with 10th Tow Squadron Patch
An M-1941 field jacket in olive green cotton with olive wool lining. On the left shoulder is the patch of the Army Air Forces. On the upper left breast is a silk screened canvas squadron patch, 5 1/2 inches in diameter, depicting Bugs Bunny, complete with a carrot in his mouth, riding a tow target. This particular patch is a known variant of the official design of the insignia of the 10th Tow Target Squadron which was based at Langley Field in Virginia (The official design had Bugs reclining on the target, while this variation shows him sitting astride the target.) There was at one time a patch on the right breast and that is now gone. There is a 1 inch "L" shaped field repair on the right sleeve, a small hole on the inside of the collar, the cuffs are frayed and there are scattered stains. The "Talon" zipper is fully functional.
