Korean War Combat Veteran Ike Jacket
The U.S. Army Ike jacket of a Staff Sergeant who served in combat in Korea with the 3rd Infantry Division and who subsequently served in the 505th Anti Aircraft Missile Battalion.
The jacket is a size 34 regular with an interior pocket Quartermaster tag dated December of 1950. On the left service unit shoulder is the patch of the Anti Aircraft Command. On the right combat service shoulder is the patch of the 3rd Infantry Division. The collar has domed silver disks for the artillery branch. Staff Sergeant chevrons are on each sleeve, along with two overseas service stripes on the lower right sleeve. On the shoulders are green wool "Combat Leader" slides with pin back distinctive insignia by Meyer of the 505th Anti Aircraft Missile Battalion. On the left breast is a sterling silver Combat Infantry Badge, with the jacket displaying ribbons for the Korean War Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, the United Nations medal for Korea, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation ribbon, and the United States Presidential Unit citation ribbon with two oak leaf clusters. The jacket is in overall very good used condition. The jacket is accompanied by the owner's khaki cotton shirt, which has on the left shoulder the patch of the Anti Aircraft Command. The shirt has age toning to the material.
