White cotton four pocket Army officer's uniform jacket, worn by a second lieutenant assigned to the coast Artillery School. The jacket has rank insignia for a second lieutenant and pin back distinctive insignia for the Coast Artillery School, as well as clutch back "US" and Coast Artillery officer collar insignia. The distinctive insignia have the back mark of Dondero of Washington, D.C., and both insignia have enamel damage. The jacket itself is in very good condition although, not surprisingly, it needs a cleaning to remove decades of dust and old starch in the material. The interior of the jacket collar is stamped with the number 22292.
