WWII Japanese Type 30 Toyoda Loom Works Arisaka Bayonet
Type 30 Arisaka rifle bayonet, straight quillon with squared pommel, marked as manufactured by the Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under the supervision of the Nagoya Arsenal. Slightly contoured riveted wood grip with blued blade and serial numbered pommel. There is noticeable wear to the blued blade finish. The wooden, string wrapped scabbard exhibits 80% of its original olive green paint. One of the two string scabbard bands is gone and the seam between the two halves of the scabbard is slightly open. The unfullered blued steel blade is in good field used condition with wear to the blued finish but no nicks, pitting, or active rust, though there is some old rust towards the tip of the blade.
